Music for Bereavements
“Where words fail, music speaks”
Music brings comfort to the bereaved and celebrates the life of a loved lost
one. A lone fiddle, viola or ‘cello can evoke deep emotions, the Nyckelharpa draws out a
connection to ancient times and gives the listener a sense of connecting to the past.
I have played at funerals both indoor and outdoors, for children and for grandparents;
Classical, Celtic, Jewish, improvisation for the deceased, and composed music
specially.
I play solo, and with my husband who plays Scottish and Irish bagpipes, as well as a range of other Celtic instruments.
If you wish to have a particular piece played, that has special meaning, I will do my best
to accommodate, please talk to me about your requirements.
“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent”
-Victor Hugo
